During his teenage years, he performed in a rock band called QED as well as played the lead guitar with a punk rock band called Door 66.

David Thewlis co-starred as Johnny Fletcher in the 1993 black comedy-drama film Naked and this role won him numerous accolades including the “Best Actor” award at Cannes Film Festival.
