She started her career as a theatre artist.

She was 13 years old when she started working.

Punarnavi Bhupalam was discovered by Samana of Samana Fashion Design during her school’s annual day.

In 2011, she was named the “Fresh Face of Vijayawada”.

She made her first theatrical film appearance by playing the role of Sunitha in the 2013 Telugu-language film, Uyyala Jampala, starring Avika Gor and Raj Tarun. For this performance, Punarnavi was nominated for a Filmfare Award in the “Best Supporting Actress – Telugu” category.

She was cast as Lalli in the 2018 Telugu romantic drama film, Manasuku Nachindi.

In 2019, she appeared as a contestant on the 3rd season of the Telugu-language version of the reality television series, Bigg Boss.

Punarnavi Bhupalam sparked engagement rumors in October 2020 when she posted a picture with actor Udbhav Raghunandan on social media. However, it was just a publicity stunt to promote their web series titled Commitmental.
